This dataset includes preliminary aggregate information on the count of infant mortality deaths by year, county, and underlying cause of death. Additionally, the dataset only includes mothers who reside and gave birth in Indiana. Mothers from out of the state who gave birth in Indiana or mothers from Indiana who gave birth out of state are not included, (to see aggregate data that includes out of state mothers or mothers who gave birth out of state, please visit the ISDH Infant Mortality Dashboard and Stats Explorer.) Please note that in this dataset it is possible for a unique infant to have multiple causes of death.
